Jodie and Chad

The bride and her attendant canoed from their houseboat to the shore where the couple got married. She had a ball trying to get into the canoe in her hugh white fluffy dress and not tipping it.

Their names are Jodie and Chad – a sweet couple from the Hunstville area; they were houseboating the week before and this was the only place we could connect for them to be married on land.

As you can see in this picture the groom and I are barefoot. So was the bride under her gorgeous dress.

The wedding took place at Sandy Inlet Bay. The Inlet Bay is found at the end of a 29 km drive down the Red Squirrel Logging Road which is located about 10 kms north of Temagami and also involved a 1 km hike once the car was parked. (I made sure that I had bear spray and bear horn in hand should any wildlife appear).

The happy couple is paddling off into their future together.

Kathy and Dave

Who would have thought that I would marry a couple wearing hunter's orange after a 20 minutes ride by ATV the wedding took place in the northern bush where a different set of rules applies. Safety first.

I really enjoyed the way Dave put a tie on for the occasion.

Janice and Richard

got married only a true Northerner will: by their ice hut, bearing the cold yet with so much love and warmth in their hearts it could have melted the ice underfoot. Of course transportation had to be be by snowmobile. Nothing else would have done.
